The Warning plus support from Conquer Divide
Arriving late, not unusual! And only catching the tail end of Conquer Divide, who sounded excellent, and the crowd liked them a lot, and showed it, we look forward to seeing them again.
The Warning who hails from Mexico hit our shores with a six-date tour ahead of the June release of their new album ‘Keep Me Fed’, are three sibling sisters. Daniela on lead guitar and vocals, Alejandra on bass and Paulina on drums, who first got noticed on YouTube singing Metallica’s Enter Sandman and playing Guitar Hero, seem to be gathering a head of steam worldwide. There is a lot of interest in them and from what we saw tonight in the very packed O2 Institute2, we understand why. On the smallish stage, they rocked the crowd, which was impressively made up of a wide age range from about early twenties to late sixties, showing how wide an appeal they have. With a 16-song set there was no holding back, from start to finish, even singing a couple of numbers in Mexican! And even those were sung by the enthralled crowd. Standout tracks from a cracking set list would be ‘Dust To Dust’, ‘Hell You Call A Dream’ and a new single off ‘Keep Me Fed’, ‘Automatic Sun’.
They have toured with a lot of big bands, Foo Fighters, Pretty Reckless, The Killers, and Halestorm amongst them. And judging from what we saw tonight, it won’t be long before these kick ass girls are not only playing arenas but headlining them. Watch these girls fly.
