LISTEN TO IT HERE:
After five years apart, the band reunited in 2022 with a string of comeback gigs at Glasgow’s O2 Academy, which saw all 10,000 tickets sold in advance.
During rehearsals the band developed new song ideas, just like they did back when they first started out.
Frontman Kyle Falconer and bandmates Kieran Webster (bass/vocals) and Pete Reilly (guitar) then departed their homes in Scotland to record in the inspirational surroundings of Granada, Spain, alongside top tier producer and Grammy Award winner Youth (The Verve, Jesus & Mary Chain, The Charlatans).
In 2007, The View’s critically acclaimed, Mercury Prize nominated debut album ‘Hats Off To Buskers’ went straight to No.1 and soon reached Platinum status. The full-length featured smash hit single and indie classic ‘Same Jeans’ as well as Top 20 hits ‘Wasted Little DJs’ and ‘Superstar Tradesman’.
Two of their subsequent four albums – ‘Which Bitch?’ and ‘Cheeky For A Reason’ – also reached the Top 10, while their previous album, ‘Ropewalk’, was produced by Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes.
