For the first time since records began more than five decades ago, the Top 10 Singles of 2022 all came from British artists.

And with hits like Harry Styles’ ‘As It Was’ and Ed Sheeran’s ‘Bad Habits’, it’s no surprise.

Other artists to make the Top Singles list include Kate Bush, with her 1985 track ‘Running Up That Hill’ returning to the official charts after featuring on Netflix series Stranger Things, as well as breakout BRITs Rising Star nominee Cat Burns with viral smash ‘Go’.

UK artists also achieved some of the biggest album releases of last year, with Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran once again dominating the chart alongside US pop star Taylor Swift, who in addition to having the third biggest album of 2022, also had the biggest-seller on vinyl with her tenth studio release ‘Midnights’.

This year will see a number of the British artists on the list head out on tour, with Harry Styles taking his Love On Tour back on the road this summer and Elton John continuing on his extensive Farewell Tour. The Weeknd will also bring his global stadium tour the UK, whilst Sam Fender has lined-up a huge hometown gig alongside numerous festival appearances.

Furthermore, the ABBA Voyage concert event has been extended to November 2023 due to popular demand. The live show will continue its acclaimed run at Queen Elizabeth’s Olympic Park in London, featuring avatar versions of the legendary band.
