Sleaford Mods have dropped new single ‘So Trendy’ featuring guest vocals from Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell.
The track is accompanied by an official music video, created by director John Minton, who used Generative AI to place the duo and Perry Farrell in a fabricated, retro video game-like world that explores the song’s themes.
Lead singer and lyricist Jason Williamson commented, “So Trendy concerns itself with the ongoing polarisation of living life through smart devices…The daily experience is a series of passwords or facial recognitions that lead us into familiar Arenas of consumer marketing and conformity.”
