Rizzle Kicks have released their first album in over a decade ‘Competition Is For Losers’, alongside new track ‘Pleasure & Pain’ featuring Irish rapper and singer Maverick Sabre, out now via BMG.

The new 14-track full-length features previously released singles ‘Javelin’, their first single in nine years, as well as ‘Gumdrops’, the funk-infused ‘New Sport’ and the infectious ‘Vice’.

The project also sees them join forces with collaborators both old and new, including the likes of Mick Jenkins, Lex Amor and DJ Premier and production by Owen Cutts (Stormzy), Tucan (Jungle) and Alex Wells.

Discussing their latest album, Rizzle Kicks commented: “It’s our best album yet. It’s definitely harder to promote than it used to be but we’re confident of its energy if you do listen. Everyone probably says that. Joy feels rebellious these days. So we stepped back into our own lane”

Last year Rizzle Kicks performed their first headline show in nearly a decade at London’s iconic KOKO.

In addition to a string of album release signing events, this year the duo will perform sold-out shows in Manchester, Birmingham and London in March followed by a huge Sounds Of The City headline date at the Castlefield Bowl in Manchester on 11 July 2025, plus a homecoming show in Brighton headlining The Great Escape.
