This is my first time at the Station and to be honest, not a bad venue. Plenty of atmosphere, the sort of venue we need to keep music alive, well done. But this is not my first time of seeing the amazing Kim Jennet and she had the same effect on me, sheer amazement of how such power and control can come out of this very petite frame. She is a pocket dynamo and I seriously rate her. Although she has a liking for running around with the crowd, I think you had better not get to liking it because I would expect in a short while she will be playing at much larger venues and this probably won’t be viable.
Performing her few releases so far, ‘Unbroken’, ‘Psycho’ and ‘Let Me Be The One’ plus assorted tunes written by the one and only Myke Gray, ex of Skin, Red White and Blues and Jagged Edge, who is a sort of mentor to Jennet. And you couldn’t with his track record of writing hit tunes have anyone better to provide her with the ammunition to scale the heights. Myke Gray as usual giving it all on guitar, has as he his self admits, found a little jewel. With his know how on the music business, he can steer Miss Jennet in the right direction. Great latest news is that they are playing Winterstorm festival next week and will be at Download festival next year, so go check them out. You will not be disappointed.
