On an awful rainy evening, Kasabian warmed up the crowd in Cardiff International Arena with support from The Lathums.
The Lathums took to the stage in Cardiff and were really great. I’ve heard of them but not seen much about them, I’m so pleased they supported as I’ve added another band to my Spotify playlists. Their songs are extremely catchy with the singer Alex Moore’s quirky voice, I love it because as soon as you hear them, you know who they are because of his distinctive voice. They played their newest single ‘Say My Name’, which has been on repeat since I heard it. They were a great support for Kasabian, I’m really hoping to see The Lathums if they come back to Cardiff.
Kasabian kicked off their set with ‘Rocket Fuel’ and ‘Club Foot’, which really got the crowd moving. Every time they stopped playing, they would start chanting ‘Sergio, Sergio’, and he would keep thanking them. Serge Pizzorno was bouncing and running around the stage all through the set, I wish I had as amount of energy as he did. Considering he started in this band as the guitarist, becoming the frontman has done him so many favours, he does such a good job interacting with the crowd. They finished off their set with the notorious ‘L.S.F (Lost Souls Forever)’ and ‘Fire’. The ground was shaking and the moshers were mosh-pitting, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I would happily see them again if they came to Cardiff.
