Jessie Ware has unveiled the official music video for ‘Free Yourself’.

The disco-fuelled, self-empowering dancefloor filler is the singer-songwriter’s first single of the year as well as her first new solo material since the 2021 reissued version of her 2020 LP ‘What’s Your Pleasure?’.

The song is set to feature on her forthcoming fifth studio album, due out in early 2023.

Jessie Ware commented, “Free Yourself is the beginning of a new era for me. I’m so excited for people to have this song for the end of their summer; to dance, to feel no inhibitions and to feel joyful because that’s how I’ve been feeling recently being able to tour again and being able to sing again. Enjoy yourself, Free Yourself!”

The single, which was co-written with Coffee Clarence JR and British producer Stuart Price, is accompanied by an official music video, directed by Vicky Lawton.

Last month the singer took to social media to confirm that new music was on the way, posting, “It’s time for new music. A whole load of new music. Next week, we start with ‘Free Yourself’. I hope you enjoy it, let’s start as we mean to go on, free, joyful and dancing hard!”

Jessie Ware recently completed her rescheduled ‘What’s your Pleasure?’ UK tour dates, followed by performances at Glastonbury and Primavera Sound. She is currently preparing to join Harry Styles as support on his Chicago run of shows, which form part of his North American Love On Tour.
