James and the Cold Gun have dropped explosive new single ‘Chewing Glass’.

The track is their first new music since the release of debut EP ‘False Start’ earlier this year.

Frontman James Joseph commented, “Chewing Glass” was written during a time where I felt like I couldn’t catch a break. The verses are a conversation with myself in the mirror at a low point where I’m re-evaluating all of my decisions – in essence, it’s a song about being down on your luck but persisting anyway. It’s our first self-produced song, which in itself was an act of persistence, but we’re super happy with the result.”

‘Chewing Glass’ is out today via Seattle-based label Loosegroove Records, owned by Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam) & Regan Hagar (Malfunkshun, Brad, Satchel).

The Cardiff rockers recently performed at the 2000 Trees Festival as well as joined Pearl Jam at BST Hyde Park alongside Johnny Marr, Temples, Tigercub and more.

Currently working on their new full-length album due out in 2023, James and the Cold Gun will make their American touring debut at next year’s SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX.

The band line-up includes James Joseph on guitar/vocals, James Biss on lead guitar, Peter Smith on bass guitar, Al Jones on guitar and Jack Wrench on drums.
