Franz Ferdinand announce their sixth studio album ‘The Human Fear’, due out on 10 January 2025.
The release will be their first studio album since 2018s acclaimed ‘Always Ascending’.
‘The Human Fear’ was produced with Mark Ralph, who previously worked with the band on their 2013 album ‘Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action’. The full-length showcases Franz Ferdinand at their most immediate, upbeat and life-affirming, unashamedly going for the pop-jugular in classic Franz style.
The Glasgow indie stalwarts have also shared the official music video for first single ‘Audacious’.

Recorded at AYR studios in Scotland, the 11 tracks on the album all allude to some deep-set human fears and how overcoming and accepting these fears drives and defines our lives.
Additionally, Franz Ferdinand will head out on tour next year in support of the new record, with two UK shows scheduled for March 2025 – full details here:
