The Dualers, Dub Pistols, Dreadzone, Dutty Moonshine Big Band, Don Letts and more are heading to Vicarage Farm in Winchester this summer for the Mucky Weekender Festival.
The event, which is curated by Dub Pistols frontman Barry Ashworth, has confirmed that the theme for this year will be The Mad Hatters Tea Party, and with fancy dress not only welcomed, but encouraged, it’s sure to be another memorable weekend of music, magic and mayhem.
Following on from 2023’s triumphant sold-out event, the Muddy Weekender has this year been extended to three days, taking place on 05-07 September 2024. The festival’s 5th edition will feature a diverse line-up with five music stages from Dub, Ska, Reggae, Jungle, to House, Disco, Funk, Breakbeat and everything in-between.
In addition, Barry and his band will join 5,000 festival-goers for afternoon tea and cake alongside Alice, Queen of Hearts, & the White Rabbit in celebration of the 2024 theme.
He commented, “We’re bringing you the Mucky Mad Hatters Tea Party stage takeovers with the legendary Back To Basics crew Dave Beer, Ralph Lawson featuring Marshall Jefferson, teaming up with Irvine Welsh Jack Said What label, sprinkle a bit of Happy Mondays Bez & Rowetta and we’ve got one hell of a magical house party.”
Barry continues to say, “This 3-day event offers the opportunity to mingle with the headliners in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Come along by yourself and leave with over 100 new friends, all sharing the same positive vibes and love for good music.”
