The announcement follows the acclaimed singer-songwriter’s Friday night headline performance at Ireland’s Electric Picnic last month, which was his biggest festival headline slot to date.

Next year’s tour will be in support of Dermot’s upcoming second album ‘SONDER’, due out on 04 November 2022.

He has also shared new piano ballad ‘Innocence & Sadness’ from the record, alongside an official music video, shot earlier this year in New York.

He commented; “It’s impossible for me to express how much this song means to me. I wrote this song on the piano in my parents’ house. “Innocence and sadness in the same night” means I cling to my childlike sense of wonder while learning how to face all the challenges of life. All in search of steady rhythm joy. Reliable and true joy.”

More highlights from the album include ‘Dreamer’, ‘Kiss Me’ and lead single ‘Something to Someone’, which has accumulated over 20 million streams to date.

‘SONDER’ will be the official follow-up to Dermot Kennedy’s globally successful 2019 No.1 debut album ‘Without Fear’.

Nominated for the “Best International Male” BRIT Award in 2020, Dermot Kennedy’s music has now amassed nearly four billion streams across platforms. Furthermore, he has the best-selling debut album in Ireland of this millennium, making him a platinum-selling artist in over 12 countries.
