Well, one thing you can say about Alice Cooper is that he’s a stayer. Now, aged 76, here he is again at a nearly sold out Utilita Arena still actually sounding really good to be honest, with a new stage show and a fantastic band. Yes, we all know what to expect really, especially that most here have been following him for many years. The king of slock rock still knows how to entertain, both visually and musically, as apart from the visual horror fest, you can’t get away from the fact that he has written some classic tunes. ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy’, ‘Hey Stoopid’, ‘Poison’, ‘Elected’, and of course, ‘School’s Out’, all of which are staples of his sets, alongside ‘Billion Dollar Babies’, ‘Feed My Frankenstein’, ‘Lost In America’ and ‘Welcome To My Nightmare’, are all fan favourites, delivered with energy.

Alice has surrounded himself with a very talented band, and it’s nice to see such respect given by Cooper, allowing them time to shine and show their talent to the approving crowd. Especially his guitarists, who really fit in visually to what’s going on onstage and really like to show off, and the beautiful Nita Strauss who loves to swing her axe round her body and uses it like a weapon, extraordinary. Yes, Alice Cooper has been doing this for a long time, but on this performance, we can’t see any reason why as long as he stays healthy, he should hang up his, snake, swords and guillotine. And we are sure that his followers will still make the pilgrimage to the altar of a venue near them to sing along and smile at the antics on stage.
