Since 1995, Alanis Morissette has solidified her place as one of the most influential artists in contemporary music. Known for her emotionally charged music and dynamic performances, she has garnered widespread critical acclaim. Her groundbreaking 1995 album ‘Jagged Little Pill’ reshaped the global pop music landscape, followed by nine more diverse and highly praised albums. Morissette has also expanded her talents into acting, appearing on both the big and small screen, and has made significant contributions to theatrical releases. Outside of her musical career, she is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and holistic well-being, focusing on spiritual, psychological, and physical health.
In 2016, she launched the Conversation with Alanis Morissette podcast, where she engages in deep discussions with prominent thought leaders, authors, doctors, educators, and therapists on a wide range of topics—from spirituality to developmental psychology to art. In 2019, Jagged Little Pill: The Musical premiered on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City and earned an impressive fifteen Tony Award nominations. In 2020, Alanis released her ninth studio album, ‘Such Pretty Forks In The Road’, to critical acclaim, followed by meditation album ‘The Storm Before The Calm’ in 2022.
