Are there really no presales for this??
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 09:29
Leeds is on pre-sale on TW
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 10:17
O2blueroom is dead?!
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 10:19
The link for Leeds does not seem to be on the main Blueroom page, but if you go down to the individual academy pages and select Leeds, then after signing in you can get the link

Hey GTTF?
Are you not even allowed to post on your site that certain artists are on pre-sale for O2 Blueroom members?
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 10:50
Hey DTABM,
Unfortunately not, we can only assume our readers have the knowledge…. tomorrow may bring a welcome presale
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 12:43
the o2 presale doesnt start till tomorrow though DTABM is that right or is there another one today?
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 13:27
Well, I’m sure I was not seeing things, but there was an open TW pre-sale link there this morning for LEEDS only. I’m sure I was not imagining it, but I’m not going to Leeds for it, so didn’t get any.
Now, on Blueroom, it says the pre-sale is tomorrow morning.

KLAXONS:
(There is no ‘general’ to put this, so…)
If anyone, like me, got Klaxons tickets for Village Underground from Eventim and has been anxiously awaiting their arrival - it appears there was some mix-up with the promoter and they have only just received the tickets themselves (so they say - I called today).
They reckon they will be sending out by Special Delivery today (Weds 21) and tomorrow.
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 15:31
They were sent today by registered post (not special delivery) should get them Friday
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 16:07
That’s what I was told, I have also received the email confirming that they have been despatched
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 16:08
DTABM - It was live earlier I saw it aswell!
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 16:09
hmmm. most peculiar.
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 16:49
Not the first time I’ve heard of “mixups” with Eventim …
Are they not reliable on delivery then? Also, is their “Special Delivery” actually Royal Mail Special Delivery or those t*ssers at SMS/DX??
Posted on July 21st, 2010 at 16:53
I’ve found them alright, but only used them a couple of times (Gorillaz, Roundhouse I think it was). I like that they let you know when the tickets are coming.
The code they sent is a Royal Mail tracking code.

SeeTickets presale - think I’ll wait for the general

I’ve fallen prey to their Box Office Collection tactics before, at the Take That show at Wembley Last year.
It’s not a simple of case of “well, if you’re going to the show then collecting is no different to getting the ticket beforehand”..not with an organisation as inept and bungling as SEE. You can never just relax and look for forward to the gig - there is always the niggling feeling that your name WON’T be on the list, or you’ve left the credit card behind, or one of a dozen other reasons why you won’t get it.
So you call up a couple of times in the week before to make sure everything is OK, and each time you speak to someone different and get some slightly different story.
it’s just maddening.

EVENTIM sent my tickets in a royal mail special delivery silver envelope with a first class stamp on! So they came by ordinary mail and didn’t need signing for! I paid for special delivery. This has happened twice now!
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 09:40
I thought I’d noted a lot less gigs being given to See recently which was a welcome relief, as you say but I’m very disappointed to see they got the pre-sale deal for The Script
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 09:46
anyone know what the promo code is for the O2 priority? I’ve tried texting the wrod script to 2402 but nothing…
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 09:48
I hate SMS/DX. They are lying gits who never attempt to deliver the tickets just wait for you to ‘rebook’. I work from home and always get ‘we tried to deliver’ letters. They’ve done the same again this week with my Roger Waters tickets. Hate them. And I hate SEE of course.

Highflyer
The only pre-sale I’ve seen on O2 for the script is for Leeds, and it’s through ticketweb - so you don’t need a text-code.
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 09:56
Interesting that they’ve put a password on there too - looks like they really don’t like you lot p*ssing around with their links ………..
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 09:56
I’m happy for them to put passcodes on, all for it in fact but I’m an O2 customer fully paid up and they havent told you how to access the code! Which suggests to me this is a presale only for the elite!
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 10:06
Kill me, just kill me ..
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 11:19
So where do you get the codes from then? if it doesn’t give you them through the blueroom?!
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 11:57
You’ve got to be special
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 12:03
not that I am bothered just would be nice to know if they are rolling out something that we know how to find the codes for them or should we just randomly guess them!!
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 12:09
It’s kinda obvious to anyone that bothers to look - I’m sure that O2/TicketWeb/GTTF are just delighted that it’s been posted on here again …
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 12:21
Agree John, please can you remove it GTTF?
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 12:36
yes, please protect our secret knowledge.
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 12:48
It’s not ours mate, that’s the point, it’s theirs ….
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 at 12:54
…and what?
Do you think they might entirely stop (presumably, paying for) pre-sales for their customers, on the basis that the links get spread around the net anyway so that people without an O2 account get them. And if that happened, then we loyal O2 customers would miss out?
You could have a point there…

Very quiet today….everyone has either:
a) bundled the kids in the MPV and have taken off on holidays; or
b) been bundled into the MPV by their parents and is off on holidays.
Posted on July 23rd, 2010 at 12:36
Clearly everyone is “busy” …
How about some speculation on the extra dates for this tour, other than the obvious 2nd night at the Apollo??
Posted on July 23rd, 2010 at 15:28
Looking at the TM availability:
- Liverpool has sold out on TM, so they might go the Friday there.
- Leeds had the only pre-sale (if anyone could find the carefully hidden link) but has not sold out today…so doubt they’ll do one there.
- I’d be very surprised if there was not another date at the Apollo, but they might wait until all the rear circle have dried up before going for another one. They won’t wait too long though as they’ll need to keep momentum. Stargreen and See seem to have sold out all the standing, so I guess it’s on the cards. The Seatwave sale prices (coming down towards £35 a ticket - cost price) seem to indicate the tout market is expecting the second show and that demand may well meet saturation levels shortly after that….hence DUMPING…promoter_hunter will be licking his chops at that!!
Posted on July 23rd, 2010 at 16:20
I was querying more along the lines of different locations rather than extra nights at existing places - the west midlands is a glaring omission as is Manchester. I’m used to bands ducking my hometown of Brum but when they choose Leicester “instead” then even I start to think FFS!!!
Posted on July 23rd, 2010 at 16:39
Being a foreigner, and from the south, I’d assumed that Liverpool / Manchester would be interchangeable for gigs (duck while numerous sharp objects are thrown his way). Is that not the case?
But you make a very good point John. Apart from supporting Take That, Festivals and a long residency at Shep Bush, the last UK tour was early Feb 09, with the following dates (from Songkick):
Roundhouse
Wolverhampton
Bristol
Manchester
Glasgow
Sheffield
then December 2008
Oxford
Bush again
Birmingham
Norwich
Manchester
Newcastle
leeds
Glasgow
Nottingham
Portsmouth
So they like to spread it out.

Unlikely to be another Hammersmith date, they’d be doing 7 nights on the spin if there was!
They will do a much bigger tour after these dates when the album is actually out, seems to be the way these days to play a few small venues in smaller markets (+ the mandatory London gig) around the album release then do a full tour when the album is actually out, usually announced immediately after the first run of gigs so don’t think they’ll be over doing it with extra dates.

On more general speculation , to play in 2011 ? , apart from those on sale , Usher, Kylie, Take That and the Rolling Stones declared runners , any educated guesses ?……….Killers , Kings of Leon , Enrique , Girls Aloud Farewell , Eminem Residency ?
