They did arenas before don’t forget, on the Ta-Dah tour, and they did 3 nights at the o2 in summer 2007 when it first opened…

In 2007 Scissor sisters had a number 1 single and were at their “peak”.
The current single struggled to reach top 10 and the 2 nights at Brixton last month failed to sell out.
I would have thought that a night at the O2 is probably beyond them now (especially as they have the rest of the UK covered too!).
Saying that a festive Scissor Sisters show would probably be quite good!

They are at least two years past their peak.

Planet are they on with this.
They couldn’t give the tickets away for venues a 5th of the size of these

Kylie appearing on-stage with them won’t bring the queens flocking in their thousands??

I was at the 2nd Brixton gig and I have to say (having seen them previously at Brixton and enjoyed them), the new material is not to my taste. It was hard to dance to for one thing. They don’t have the best voices in the world but the material has always been upbeat and easy to dance to.

I listened to the new album this morning. MoR rubbish. I read somewhere that Elton John took a listen to the original version and said it was ‘pants’, then (maybe) helped them re-produce it. You can tell….as they are fading into meaningless cliche like Elton. He’s been around a bit longer so has a longer history (of mediocrity), so can get away with it - they can’t.
Some sample lyrics:
you know baby, when I was taking my pantihose out of their egg this evening I thought I’m going to find that man with the right shade of bottle tan, a man that smells like cocoa butter and cash. Take my anyway you like it; in front of the fireplace, in front of your yacht, in front of my parents, I don’t give a damn baby, just take me.
yawn.
