He’s great but multiple arena dates??
I imagine you could fit all the people in the UK that have even heard of him in the arenas listed …

I don’t mean to be rude, but I’ve not heard of this guy …here is something from wiki to save you looking it up:
Timothy David Minchin [2] (born 7 October 1975 in Northampton, UK[1]) is an Australian comedian, actor, musician, and skeptic. He is best known for his musical comedy, which has featured in three CDs, three DVDs and a number of live comedy shows which he has performed internationally. He has also appeared on television and radio in both Australia and Britain.
I’m still not going.

There’s more….
The shows consist largely of Minchin’s comedic songs and poetry, with subjects ranging from social satire, to inflatable dolls and sex fetishes, to his own failed rock star ambitions. In between songs, he performs short stand-up routines
Fascinating…I was going to get some Shakira tickets, but might do this instead.

The O2 has become a marketing gimmick to feed the franchised bars and restaurants under the tent.

He is really good live! You should give him a chance!

Actually tim is brilliant live and is bound to sell out the smaller venues. the o2 will be far too large a venue for him, he is best at more intimate venues. This guy is very talented and easily sold out glasgow last time he was here!

Oh, he’s got an ORCHESTRA with him.
That makes it better.
Even Peter Gabriel was watchable (for at least half the show) with an orchestra.

I’ve also seen him twice. He really is extremely talented and does have a loyal following which are not just aussies either.
A few nights at the Hammersmith Apollo would have suited but that may have been difficult with the orchestra. I think two nights may be a lot but.

Thought he was completely unfunny on Jonathan Ross.
Also, bad first weekend sales for him at the arena’s, but good luck to him

Feel a bit sad that Tim is only playing at mega arenas - best seats are going for mega bucks and the rest of the fans will hardly be able to see him. Maybe I’ll wait for the dvd. It’s all good news for him tho after all those years of hard work, he really is a gifted guy and even in jest he’s the voice of reason on some touchy topics
