The Pains of Being Pure at Heart are no strangers to the music industry with their debut album reaching no.15 in NME’s Top 50 Albums of 2009 last year and now they’re back with their new single ‘Say No To Love’ which is out on July 5th on Fortuna Pop.
With summer finally hitting the UK and the sun finally making an appearance I’m sure you’re looking for that track to get you into that summer mood right? Well look no further as The Pains of Being Pure at Heart have that covered! This indie pop track ticks all the boxes to making this a definite summer hit this year, with a feel good backing track filled with pleasant acoustics that compliments lead vocalist Kip’s soft vocals perfectly.

‘Say No To Love’ also comes with B side ‘Lost Saint’ which is a little less warm compared to first track but nevertheless it is filled with Kip’s brilliant hushed vocals against light yet strong acoustics with a mixture of electric as well as percussion instruments.
Overall this two track single is the perfect mood setting music for those summer day chill outs or even peaceful summer nights with friends and if this is an insight to what The Pains of Being Pure at Heart s second album is going to sound like than it’s going to be brilliant.
