Fresh from conquering the UK on the Kerrang! Relentless Tour, Baltimore quartet All Time Low are back with their latest single ‘Lost In Stereo’. Plucked from their hit album ‘Nothing Personal’, this track instantaneously captivates the listener into with a driving drum beat and poppy guitar hooks designed perfectly to fill dance-floors. A clear electro influence comes through as the live energy of All Time Low is captured in a slice of power-pop perfection.
Coming in at just under 4 minutes long, the group’s latest offering contains quite possibly one of the catchiest vocal hooks of the year. Any person who comes into fleeting contact will be humming “lost in stereo-oo” to themselves for days on end afterwards. Coupled with a soaring guitar line, it’s only natural to count the days before this becomes a club classic.
Admittedly, the lyrics to this floor filler are somewhat superficial, especially when you consider the band\’s older, more poetic efforts. However, when the chorus kicks in and simultaneously channels Jimmy Eat World angst with (yes, really) Lady Gaga-esque flawlessness, it becomes clear that this song has one purpose. Sentiment be damned, ATL came to make you dance. If you’re looking for a slice of unashamed pop-punk, look no further than ‘Lost In Stereo’.
