Hooray! More money to spend though. I need to make money not spend it.
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 08:28
These won’t be cheap and I imagine lots of lovely ‘fan packages’ etc.
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 10:30
Yep, their packages are really expensive. I was looking at them for the US gigs and they cost a pretty penny. Goodness knows where a standard ticket will get you sitting… I’m not sure I’ll be buying any for ‘friends’ for this one. Still, they sold out Hyde Park a couple of years back, so the market is there and some people don’t mind using binoculars.
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 13:10
Reckon they will add another date to the O2?
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 13:36
Yeah I think they’ll add another date. I reckon another on the 16th as there is a 3-day gap at the moment between the o2 and Romania dates and just a 2-day gap between most other countries/venues
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 14:14
I was at Hyde Park and their crowd seemed to be twice as big as the other bands that week (Kaiser Chiefs and Daft Punk).
They wil defo add another date. They rarely tour Europe and have a good loyal fanbase.
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 14:33
Aerosmith bigger than Daft Punk and the Kaiser Chiefs? Never!!
2 more dates I reckon, 16th and 17th - we all know how desperate the O2 is to claw back money from Jacko. They’ll all sell out as well, and you’ll have people paying twice the face value for decent seats. London is full of bankers looking for ways to spend their billions in bonus and pretend they are ‘hard’ or ‘with it’….losers.

You missed the point, Hyde Park has a set capacity!
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 15:33
That Hyde Park attendance was madness. Way too full in my opinion. Seen them more times than I can remember and I didn’t enjoy it that much because it was tipping down with rain and way too full. Agreed, more dates are likely, though Tyler might struggle further down the schedule.
Maybe they’ll scrap an extra night at the O2 and play 100 Club instead - ha! Dream On, I know… Still, they did the Marquee back in 1990 when they headlined Donnington (like this year) and with Joe Perry playing 100 Club in April, he might suggest it to the others. He thought the Marquee gig was one of his greatest moments - then again they did get Jimmy Page to play too! Now that would be awesome - let’s do it all again. I miss the Marquee.
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 16:32
they’re definitely playing heaven on Wednesday 17th March
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 17:31
What MGMT or Aerosmith???!!
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 17:57
LOL. Wait and see children, wait and see
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 18:02
That Hyde Park gig was immense.
When Run DMC came on stage for the encore the roar of the crowd went straight through me. One of the best moments at a gig in my life because it was so unexpected and it just caught the whole crowd by surprise!
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 18:02
At most there will be one more date. They aren’t doing consecutive nights anywhere there. Wouldn’t suprise me if there were no more dates and that they don’t play consecutive nights at all. Download will be the big pay day for them anyway
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 19:15
That was the highlight and a great moment when DMC (no Rev. Run) came on for WTW. But I was fed up with all the plonkers with umbrellas and constant shouting at them to put them down. That was creating a pretty bad atmosphere where I was. And I just plain don’t like getting thoroughly soaked all day. I don’t drink very often so I didn’t have the pleasure of alcohol numbing the experience of getting wet. Too many people & too wet. Outdoor gigs just don’t rock me anymore, it was OK when I was 18. I saw Run DMC in ‘87 (maybe ‘88). I was into them before I was into Aerosmith. It still doesn’t stop my overwhelming memory being that of wet and fed up.
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 19:18
Extra dates seem a possibility - but can i just say that Leona is on the 14th and 16th with Bon Jovi on the 17th. So unless he will be coming back to us in between his other dates, the only other choice would be to do some other place in the UK!
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 19:22
American Dribble - just like Bon Jovi that churn out the same commercial shite to keep the fans happy and to keep buying albums. Probably charge £200 to sit somewhere in the front half of the arena and £350 if you want a laminate with it!!!
What a load of poooooooooohhh!!!!
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 20:41
Char, I am a fan, seen them well into double figures, but I don’t totally disagree. I’m not a massive fan of their work of the past 15 years, the odd song is OK. My favourite work of theirs is from the 70s with a bit of Permanent Vacation and Pump thrown in for good measure. Fortunately they do still play a whole lot of early material, so for me it’s worth it - although not for £200! Their packages will most likely be around £250, but I think the standard tickets will be £55+ fees, including floor seats or thereabouts. I could have it completely wrong of course!
Posted on February 27th, 2010 at 01:46
Well Perhaps they will do Wembley Arena too
Posted on February 27th, 2010 at 12:29
This will be a reduced capacity as Steven Tyler’s mouth will take up half of the arena.
Posted on February 27th, 2010 at 13:38
I am Spartacus.
Posted on February 27th, 2010 at 18:33
£75-£95
LOL
Posted on March 1st, 2010 at 19:47
More like £85 to £106

Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 15:28
OK, I eat my words on that one. That’s ridiculous especially as it’s standing too according to the plan. That stinks Aerosmith. Yeah, eat the rich Aerosmith you gold diggers.
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 16:22
I’m really p!ssed about that. I think that’s outrageous.
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 16:24
And this is the cruncher. The O2 indicates that this is for one night only at the O2. For all you touts out there….
Buy them and “IF” they were to put on a another show and you cant get rid of them then call up the ticketing company and ask for a refund.
They won’t offer one, but false advertising under the trading standards Act is not to be taken lightly. Anyone whom took them to a tribunal would have a very good case of claiming back their outlay. Putting on a new concert due to unprecedented public demand doesn’t waive you rights when you purchased in good faith based on the advertising!
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 16:46
SB - Totally true, but I think this will be for ONE night as already stated above Leona is on 14th and 16th.
I have noticed though the O2 have done this on a few occasions recently. Should not be allowed, especially as the O2 would already have a provisional booking for extra nights for some of these gigs. Its bang out of order for fans as well as touts!
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 17:00
Yes, this is not the first time they have said ‘One night only’ and added whatever dates.
If you were a serious attendee and missed out, only to pay high £££ later on and THEN only to get another date added. I’d be taking the ticket seller to arbitration!
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 17:05
Will they need another date?
I know they are big, but I am genuinely a fan, never missed a tour here since the late 80s and my brother is a bigger fan - calls them his favourite band - and yet because of the price we are seriously considering not going. I know it’ll sell out, but how many of those tickets will be to resellers and will people pay a premium on top of already outrageous prices? I don’t know. Some would of course, there are always people with more money than sense or ‘bigger’ fans, but realistically, once fees from either eBay, Seatwave, Get Me In are added, what price would a tout have to charge to make a worthwhile profit and how many people are going to pay that price for a ticket? I know I’m a little green when it comes to reselling but are these realistic prices to resell when a large number of fans won’t buy them at face value either due to not being able to or on principle?
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 17:21
They’re not Bon Jovi and there isn’t the media hype for them either. Am I completely wrong?
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 17:22
Did anybody notice on Michael Buble @ The Aviva last week that the top priced tickets started at 86.50 for the pre-sale, then some “Gold Circle” appeared on the seating plan then in the half hour before they went on sale, Ticketmaster showed the prices going 56.50- 110, then 124.50 then finally settled on 166.50? It was like half an hour before they went on sale they were still deciding on and inventing prices for some of the tickets.
Back to Aerosmith.. ridiculous money and absolutely no value for money for those paying £84.25 to sit in the upper tier.
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 17:25
Sod Aerosmith - its all about the Jean Michel Jarre pre sale tomorrow!!!!
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 18:02
I’ll see you down the front JT
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 20:12
Good luck with Jean Michel Jarre. I hope you enjoy the concert. The chance of you selling them is about as much as me giving back my bank bonus!
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 20:54
Just got back from Kiss at the Academy Islington, OK it was a short set but take notice Aerosmith, £40 and well worth it. Alright, I know they aren’t reading this…
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 00:26
Danny Boy,
Did they dress up in full attire or was it stripped down makeup and new material they were playing?
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 09:24
Full make up, the big KISS lights as the back-drop (took up the entire stage at that small venue), lots of tongue - superb showmen. Shame the crowd were too cool to cheer them back for an encore. They came back for one but that was it, which was a shame as the atmosphere for the gig itself was great, but I respect them not doing more as you’ve gotta give something to get some more. All too many audiences just stand there in expectation of an encore these days like they don’t understand the concept. That gripe aside I was duly impressed. Got some fantastic photos. Gene Simmons was a tongue-lick away from me - which is anything up to about 20 foot I think.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 09:43
Sorry - material: Lots of old stuff.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 09:51
Back to Aerosmith:
How can there be two prices for standing? And £20 difference?
Can anyone explain that one to me?
The presale is only allowing £105 standing tickets although £86 ones are advertised.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 10:03
Didn’t notice that danny boy. Very observant. I am not convinced £106 and an astounding £11 service fee is worth buying. :S
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 10:12
Full make up huh and at such close quarters. Impressive!
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 10:18
The AeroForceOne message board (the official fanclub) has a thread of fans moaning about the prices and that they won’t be going. Let’s face it on a secondary market, people would have to pay £160+ if the tout is going to make some money after fees, and who is going to do that. Maybe for a club gig but not the O2 to sit in the heights or stand. A lot of fans will baulk at the cost and go to Download.
I want to go, but I think I’ll just hope for the price to come down in the last week and if it doesn’t I won’t lose any sleep. I’m seeing Joe Perry at the 100 Club, that’ll probably have to do.
Did anyone buy tickets?
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 10:29
There will be a few who bought tickets
I am sure they will not admit it though. I didn’t as I could see them coming
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 10:37
Hate to say it but they are already selling on GMI…
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:24
…and Seatwave…
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:27
Yeah, two sold, 67 listed…
And the cheapest £117 (to the seller) for standing tickets. If they were charged £105 for those and are happy to invest over £400 to make £50 in three months time then good luck to them, but I think that kind of money is better invested elsewhere.
Some idiot will always buy off there because they are dumb. I sold tickets two Alice Cooper tickets on there, made more than the cost of my ticket and the general admission tickets were still available from all ticket agencies.
On another note, have you seen the 300+ tickets per gig available for all the Bon Jovi dates on there? Should be nice and cheap come the event dates.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:32
That was supposed to be two tickets to… I wish I could edit my comments sometimes.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:33
1 pair on SW doesn’t equate to good sales IMO. And that pair which sold made the seller £25 or something.
We’ll see.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:34
it hasnt even gone on GR yet - give them chance! lol
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:35
lol. Love the speculation before the start of the race.
We are like greyhounds caged up until 9am sharp. First off the line gets the front row.
The top 5 finishers generally always get a good prize. Beyond that..it can cost you!
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:39
That sale made £50 not £25 but whos counting a few pounds!
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:41
Agree its no Lady Gaga but the point was that it hasnt even gone on sale yet and some people are prepared to pay £176 per ticket when the fans on the fanclub were boycotting it even at face value.
And tbh, £50 profit is still £50 profit. Thats 25% interest, better than sat in the bank but if you know of better places to invest please tell us!
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:46
Yes 25% for 3 months is not bad I admit that.
Still,.. only 1 person in the entire UK is celebrating this Aerosmith presale, the rest aren’t and are checking their emails every 5 mins for in the hope their lottery numbers came up. lol
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:53
Agreed Highflyer - Jeeeez theres no pleasing some people!
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:53
On another note;
What happenned to the forum on this website? I think we should bring it back now there seems to be more traffic to the site. I believe it would be much more useful and allow private messaging/editing of comments and so forth.
Admin please comment
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:59
Oh come on how many times have you seen tickets fly out of the window on the resale market before general release? Lets revisit this when the tickets go on sale on Friday thats really the only way of telling. And as for the person selling the standing tickets at low profit my bet is they havent even bought them themselves yet in which case its a no brainer in my opinion.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 12:01
If it was £50 profit then good work. I didn’t see the tickets that sold, hadn’t checked to notice which sold. We all know that a percentage will sell no matter what, even if it doesn’t sell out. At £50 fine, but the standing tickets were showing as £105 when I looked at the presale so I could only base my supposition on the cheapest available ticket and the price listed on Ticketmaster. I was only referencing GMI.
Personally, I wouldn’t choose to invest £400 to make £50 in three months time, because GMI don’t pay up until a week or two after the gig, I might for £100. That was my point. I would rather invest it in cheaper events that will make as much or more money. There are lots of concerts, gigs and theatre events that will make a lot more for a lot less investment. Of course with a bottomless slush fund then any profit is good profit, but I don’t have a bottomless slush fun.
I didn’t take my huge bankers bonus this year so things are tighter than normal!
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 12:01
highflyer as usual you may be right.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 12:03

Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 10:37
lol - I am still not convinced by these Aerosmith tickets.
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 11:13
Aerosmith is looking like another ROCKWELL….the touts equivalent of Lord Vondelmort.
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 14:21
Nothing can be another Rockwell.
EXCEPT Eddie Kadi!
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 15:08
I think you could open a book on this one. Would be great fun. Sell, sell, sell, BUY! BUY! BUY! BUY!
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 15:24
It will be a popcorn moment tomorrow for some of us. Some of us will be eating sweeeeeeeeeeet popcorn. Others will be eating salty, bitter, overly hyped, over cooked popcorn - haha.
I have a hunch, ticketmaster is preparing more salty popcorn then sweet for us tomorrow.
I haven’t got tickets for this gig and will be watching from afar with my unsweetened popcorn. I will be providing commentary from 9am I can assure you. Stay tuned!
Highflyer and Dannyboy will be assisting in the commentary too I am sure
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 17:16
haha I’ll be too busy buying JMJ tickets. I gorged myself on presale but feel like filling my pockets full tomorrow yipee!
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 17:26
Unrelated q - If TicketMaster says 6 per person per event - does that mean 6 per person for the tour, or 6 per person per date of show?
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 18:55
@ anonymous - it is nearly always per date. On the rare occasions it isn’t (the Muse shows at the O2 et. last year are an example) it is always clearly stated on the main tour page with all the dates on that there is a limit over the whole tour. Nearly always you can buy six per show.
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 19:07
You are only allowed to buy 1 ticket for events across the whole of Ticketmaster on Fridays - It’s called ‘Solo Fridays’!
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 21:46
So Dreamer, what do you mean you will be eating unsweetened popcorn when you havent got tickets, yet ticketmaster are preparing unsweteend popcorn for us (i assume
those who door will have tickets) tomorrow?
I am confused? Do you think more dates will be added or it wont sell out or that people will make a bundle from them???????
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 00:54
i will be eating non sweet nor salty popcorn. The unfortunate ones who bought thinking they could make a buck will be eating the salty bitter variety. I am too busy at this sec to comment on the situation as getting tickets for my own events. I will commentate shortly
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 10:05
Must say they are selling ever so slightly better than I anticipated. I foresee it drying up very shortly mind.
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 10:17
Still no where near sold out mind :P, and that’s the punchline!
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 10:24
I heard a rumour aerosmith will be playing bitter sweet symphony as part of their gig - haha
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 10:35
Anybody dealing with see tickets again? have they improved yet or still the crap service?
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 10:57
Greg I took a stab with them by accident (foolishly). Not arrived yet. The customer service lady seemed very convincing that they’d come and they WILL BE couriered, which when that occurs they generally arrive in good itme.
Its only when it s standard post you have to worry from my experience.
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 11:03
Im stil waiting for tickets which are soon so worried about buying from them again, but sometimes dont have a choice.
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 11:08
Let us know how you get on.
Mine were festival tickets which I got and I need them before I travel. She said for that obvious reason that lots of people will be travelling, she strongly doubts they’d be sent out last minute. For once see see reason.
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 11:11
Guys (and the occasional girl)
When this site was put together in early 2009 it was used a site to discuss music, issues with ticket companies, etc.
Try and be a bit more considerate and not push your blatant tout and ticketing business views on here, what you bought, etc Its crass and inconsiderate.
Its obvious people use this site for that and other reasons. Thats fine, but there are certain things people don’t want pushed down their throat. And before you say were not pushing anything down anyone’s throat..you are.
Your pushing a fine line before admin may draw up certain rules about posting here or Inland revenue being interested about the tax (or lack) your paying on your sales
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 11:13
All sounds familiar good luck will keep you posted.
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 11:13
fairplay SB - I’ll behave
Pls do let us know Greg. I’ll post if and when mine come.
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 11:19
I was only trying to help people save money not make money -
Last I will say on the subject. Soz.
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 11:25
Agreed SB.
Trouble is, that’s how I started and was turned to the dark-side.
I have no worries about tax though as I declare every penny I earn in every avenue of business that I earn it in.
And I actually now buy and go to even more gigs than I used to because of this site. I clearly went too far with my last post - didn’t get posted (or was removed). And I apologise. It’s only banter and wasn’t meant to offend.
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 11:39
SB has spoken.
*fanfare*
Posted on March 5th, 2010 at 17:27
Well said SB.
I’m not a rabid anti-tout person in particular myself but some of the stuff on here really pisses me off at times …
