GetToTheFront: You are supporting The Noisettes on their February tour, what can people expect from a Tiffany Page live set?
Tiffany Page: A recent review described me as ‘attacking an electric guitar and growling like a guy with a marlboro habit..” Think that summed it up pretty well
GTTF: We saw you perform live last year when you were supporting The Noisettes, we noticed you were not wearing anything on your feet. Is this something you do every show and what’s the reason?
TP: Hahaha… no, i usually wear shoes. But i was feeling particularly spiritual and my feet needed a good air.
GTTF: Your debut single ‘Walk Away Slow’ is due for release on March 29th; can you tell us a bit about the inspiration behind the song?
TP: This song was inspired by a past relationship that I kept coming back to.
GTTF: Your debut album will then follow and will be released in June, can you give us 5 words to describe your album and what we can expect.
TP: You.Can.Decide.For.Yourself . I hope there’s at least one song that everyone can relate to.
GTTF: Do you have a name for your album?
TP: Walk Away Slow
GTTF: A lot of artists when they are up and coming in the music industry get compared to another artist, has anyone made that comparison yet?
TP: Lots of people have and I find it very encouraging because each comparison has been different. From Blondie to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
GTTF: Have you got any tips for bands or artists we should look out for in 2010?
TP: I’d say a band called Cassidy.. They’re brilliant.
GTTF: If we said to you, you can only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what song would you pick and why?
TP: Radiohead- Street Spirit because its the only song I can play over and over again and not get bored.
GTTF: Finally, apart from the Feb tour, single and album release, what else have you got in store for 2010?
TP: I’ve been booked for my first festival which is Playaway festival and I really hope that more will follow.
