  2. PK Said,

    Bl**dy hell.

Hope they post the tickets out early on as I’ll have no doubt moved a couple of times by then

  3. SB Said,

That’s unbelievable. Ticketmaster, See, etc could then get an extra 5-10% after re-investing the proceeds in the money market funds, etc.

  4. John Said,

    Those dates are just bizarre!!

  7. Ian Martin Said,

What happens to the people who bought tickets for the MEN shows? I now want to get tickets or Cardiff but will I be banned from buying tickets with their maximum of 6 tickets across all shows policy because I bought tickets for Manchester?

  8. davieboy Said,

could someone please confirm this? - once and for all..

Is there a 6 ticket limit over all performances or is per performance or per venue?

    Cheers

  9. Sean Said,

Nowhere does it say across all shows, it is 8 tickets per date. If it wasn’t, it would clearly say “per tour”

If you ring Ticketmaster you’ll get a different answer everytime you ring, if they had now decided to say it was 8 per tour, it would probably appear in the Customer Service questions section.

Also, if it was 8 per tour, they would most likely have run checks before sending the tickets out, instead of after.

  10. Sean Said,

seetickets saying 8 per tour on their emails now though..

  11. theeps Said,

I’ve had an email reply from TM stating that it’s 8 per tour and not 8 per date.

  13. Nick100 Said,

Would’ve helped if the promoters had considered this and announced these dates at the same time as the M.E.N. shows - appreciate they maybe wanted to test the water with sales, but thanks to this ticket policy how many fans are now stuck with M.E.N. tickets when they live far closer to one of the other venues. Not exactly considerate is it!

So now people run the risk of getting tickets cancelled and have to re-sell on ebay etc if they’re lucky enough to get tickets for a more local venue. Really annoys me when they announce extra cities after the first batch of dates!

No success in getting tickets for Cardiff for 40 minutes!….can you get these at 9am??

  15. Jimi Said,

Can someone please give me more info about the ticket limit????

I bought 8 tickets from the MEN arena directly. Paid for 4 with cash, 4 with my debit card.

Then today I bought ( all with the same debit card used at the MEN) 8 tickets for Newcastle and 4 for the O2 from ticketmaster and then 4 for the O2 from ticketline.

Please can anyone shed any light on which and how many (if any)would be cancelled, i would really appreciate it

  16. Kirky Said,

All of the servers have gone inton meltdown!!! Been trying to get tickets for Brum on the Ticketfactory website since 9am!!! Grrrrr!!

    Posted on December 4th, 2009 at 12:48

  17. Kirky Said,

The limit is 8 tickets accross all of the tour.

    Posted on December 4th, 2009 at 12:52

  18. Nick Said,

On the TM website it said 8 tickets max for all the O2 shows. I would presume this means your allocation for other venues is not taken into consideration.

    Posted on December 4th, 2009 at 12:59

  19. Char Said,

Yes Jimi, it is 8 Max for the whole tour. It states this on the TM Peter Kay home page.
Tickets will be cancelled over this limit.

    Posted on December 4th, 2009 at 13:00

  20. Nick Said,

On the TM ticket selection page it says “There is a strict ticket limit of 8 tickets per person and per credit card across all Peter Kay events at the O2″

    That’s all it says

  21. Sean Said,

Left hand doesn’t know the right with this. Different rules, rules added later etc

For Manchester, if your tickets have arrived or say in the dispatch process I would imagine they would be fine.. I have had more 8 arrive to me.

The o2 will definately cancel if you go over, they always do. Everything else will be hit and miss, depends whether the promoter asks them to or not. You’ll know within 2 weeks or so if they will cancel them or not, they don’t leave it long.

  22. Jimi Said,

Hi, thanks a lot guys for all your responses, Sean i would like to direct this question to you:

I have all the Manchester ones already, as i got them in hand by paying at the MEN venue itself. I have only purchased 8 in total for the O2, so i guess it is just a case of whether a problem will arise because of the 8 Newcastle ones i bought from ticketmaster (4 for the O2 were from ticketmaster) as well?

I would much prefer them to cancel the newcastle ones, do you think its worth being pre-emptive about this or just leaving it in hope?

    Thankyou, Jimi

  23. Sean Said,

I very much doubt that they will be cross-referencing venues, if you ring them, you might be able to switch them to a different billing address they normally give you this option. I wouldn’t be worried if I was you though. The shows are so far away it won’t really matter if you wait 2 weeks to find out anyway

    Posted on December 4th, 2009 at 19:38

  24. Char Said,

    Jimi,
TM normally contact you to let you know they have been cancelled.
If you give them a ring they will allow you to choose which ones you want cancelled or like Sean said they can transfer them to a different card holder with a different address.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

  25. James L Said,

    Not happy at all!
All websites died, and could’nt get any tickets from anywhere for sheffield!
Gutted, as i was gonna take 3 friends with me!

    Posted on December 4th, 2009 at 22:45

  26. Jimi Said,

Ok thanks again so much for your help!

I think i will ring them and try and changethe credit card/address.

I hope it wont mean they are cancelled!

I will let you know how i get on.

    Thanks again. Jimi

  27. Jimi Said,

I rang them and they said i could just transfer them to another card! Seems a bit stupid really, i could theoretically bough as many as i wanted and just transerred all the cards!

  28. amy Said,

I bought 10 Peter Kay tickets today for the MEN, will they all be cancelled or just the last 2 tickets I bought? Thanks

    Posted on December 19th, 2009 at 19:14

  29. SB Said,

Could be any of them. Two ways you could go about it.

    1. Take your chance and nothing happens.
    2. Take a bit of pain and get them to cancel the worst seat ones. Because if they do cancel the overs they could easily cancel the best ones arbitrarily
