Hmmm.. the tour that doesn’t tour…
Suggests a residency somewhere up north in answer to the O2 residencies that seem to be taking hold…
a couple of weeks at the MEN in April anyone?

Sounds about right biguth. But us southern softies don’t like traveling north so it’ll cut out a lot of people who would go if he comes south. I think that despite (and understandably) moaning about having to come south all the time for big events, northerners will do it where a lot less southerners will. If it is a northern residency I guess I’ll be waiting for t’ DVD.
Let’s just hope it’s a very misleading name for the tour. He’d be mad not to play north with the huge following he has there, but I’d be a bit gutted if he doesn’t play south.

north ???………where is that ?

4 nights (at least to begin with, with more hinted at if sales go well) from the 27th-30th April.
Posted on November 20th, 2009 at 10:04
I’ve read elsewhere he has four nights booked in at the MEN next April as suggested by biguth, tickets to go onsale at 11am tomorrow morning. Hope the heads-up helps some people (if what I read elsewhere is true)…
Posted on November 20th, 2009 at 10:10
Also, I was told that you can sign up to his site and get priority tickets from 8am tomorrow, so there will be a presale of sorts. I can’t get onto his website to verify this and sign up at the moment.

said on local news this morning he is playing 4 nights at the MEN Arena, not sure about other dates/venues though
Posted on November 20th, 2009 at 10:23
I don’t think he’ll have a problem shifting the tickets lol
How many of those will go to people who are actually going to the gigs is another question entirely of course …
Posted on November 20th, 2009 at 11:21
John, ALL the tickets will be going to people who are actually going to the gigs. The only thing in doubt is how much they are going to pay for them!!
Posted on November 20th, 2009 at 11:50
There’s going to be a lot more than 4 as long as he can still pull people in, he isn’t doing any other venue next year
Posted on November 20th, 2009 at 12:07
Is the ticket limit of 8 over all the shows or is this just per night?
Posted on November 21st, 2009 at 11:11
good question char, anyone know?
Posted on November 21st, 2009 at 11:27
lol
Like him a lot do you?
Posted on November 21st, 2009 at 11:28
Yeah I love him and so do my very large family!
Posted on November 21st, 2009 at 11:38
excellent xmas presents!
Posted on November 21st, 2009 at 11:45
Blimey, I don’t think much of TM’s servers today …
Posted on November 21st, 2009 at 12:54
The Inbetweeners on tour, now that wud be worth 20 nights
Posted on November 21st, 2009 at 12:55
Wow that was a lot of tickets sold in a short time. I can see why he is only doing the MEN arena.
Why bother travelling around when that many people will come to 1 place.
Posted on November 21st, 2009 at 13:03
It was a lot but they haven’t sold anything like the full capacity - expect more “waves” of sales to come I imagine …
Posted on November 21st, 2009 at 13:15
It is 8 tickets across all dates, not per night
Posted on November 22nd, 2009 at 12:50
Nick how can you prove its 8 accross the tour as it does not say that on TM
Posted on November 23rd, 2009 at 08:26
It Did not say over all ndates it said per person per card, therefore you can get 8 per event as far as i understand.
Posted on November 23rd, 2009 at 09:38
As far as i read it it was per person per card, meaning you can if you wanted to buy 8 per show not acrroos all dates, i may be wrong though.
Posted on November 23rd, 2009 at 10:04
Any idea of when the next wave will come? Bloody missed out and they are going for 250 a pop on ebay
Posted on November 23rd, 2009 at 17:30
I booked 10 across two dates for family\friends and phoned up Ticketmaster to check. They said it was a max of 8 across all dates and I had to transfer my extra pair onto a family members credit card who lived at a different address.
Posted on November 24th, 2009 at 10:55
Please note Ticketmaster also said that the extra pair would be cancelled if I didn’t transfer them to a different credit card and person living at a different address. I transfered it over on the phone without any problems.
Posted on November 24th, 2009 at 11:00
cant see it being 10 over all dates
Posted on November 25th, 2009 at 02:01
Julie, if you read my message I didn’t say 10 max, I said 8 as it states on the website, which is why I had to transfer my 2 extra to another card holder living at a different address because I booked 10.
“Can’t see it being 10 over all dates” - Well I spoke to Ticketmaster on the phone so what more proof do you need? Have you phoned them?
Posted on November 25th, 2009 at 11:17
YEP just called them and they said its 8 per date
Posted on November 25th, 2009 at 12:24
So to get this straight once and for all Julie, you are saying its 8 per date, so in essence, you can buy 8 for each of the 20 shows however unlikely that may be?
Posted on November 25th, 2009 at 17:18
I wouldn’t believe any one person from TM regardless - get at least 3 sources then I’m listening
Anyway, are these like ever going to go on sale again or have the hospitality beasts swallowed them all up???
Posted on November 25th, 2009 at 17:48
yes thats what they told me today that it is 8 per date.. per date.. ie 8 for every date if u wanted she even checked with her manager,
Posted on November 25th, 2009 at 20:47
I wish you would all bugger off
Posted on November 25th, 2009 at 22:41
It was 8 per date and tickets are being despatched today !
Posted on November 25th, 2009 at 23:00
dave what the frig are you on about! you wish we would all bugger off… if you dont want to read the comments.. then dont come to the site!…………. SIMPLES
Posted on November 26th, 2009 at 08:29
Julie: I also hate people whose cultural frame of reference is that flipping Meercat ad. I don’t come to the site to view you lot talking rubbish about tickets.
Posted on November 26th, 2009 at 11:01
Julie, I will be annoyed if that is the case as I wanted to get more but didn’t!
Posted on November 26th, 2009 at 11:43
Just said on Jonathon Ross Show that the tour is now going to tour! Surprise surprise!
Posted on November 28th, 2009 at 00:41
Yeah, big surprise, are there *any* honest people left in the world anymore???
Posted on November 28th, 2009 at 10:28
Outrageous. Con people into buying tickets in one city by saying these are the only dates - don’t tell me all 20 nights were sold to folks from around Manchester - and then announce a tour. Scandalous.
Posted on November 28th, 2009 at 10:48
Indeed. I take it that they think they’ve milked the “hospitality” packages dry - I assume the leftovers for MEN will go on sale next week now, per chance??
Posted on November 28th, 2009 at 11:06
I think you got it exactly right John . Oh to be in marketing !
Posted on November 28th, 2009 at 19:50
what a JOKE!
i paid for the hotel package! and now find he’s adding more gigs probably in London no doubt!
Should be allowed a refund.. But it doesnt allow you too. ! What a joke…
Posted on November 30th, 2009 at 10:37
Peter Kay did actually announce on Chris Moyles show that he would only be playing Manchester, but if all goes well then he would take the show on a tour.
Posted on November 30th, 2009 at 11:36
did anyone else find him not in the slightest bit funny on Johnathan Ross?
