anyone else a bit surprised that Ally Pally has made the venue choice? wouldve banked on RAH or a cheeky O2 gig
It does seem an increasingly popular choice but I am surprised – the RAH was my guess beforehand too. Slightly wrong-footed by the American Express link as well – are many of her fans going to have such a card?! And as Ally Pally is all standing what is the advantage – unless they’ll be getting almost all the tickets that is!
Looks like a ticket limit of 4 for Flo. Rumour of a Wembley Arena gig on the cards…………
Tickets for all international games at the Oval available from Tuesday for any cricket fans.
Fleet Foxes tour in March – anybody know when tickets go on sale? Mucho Gracias!
IOW FESTIVAL – SPRINGSTEEN – SUNDAY
Also confirmed for The Boss:
Sunderland Stadium Of Light stadium 21st June
Manchester Etihad Stadium 22nd June
Emirates date to follow?
No He’s playing Hyde park on the 23rd
NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS CONFIRM MORE UK ARENAS
BUT NOT A second night in manchester or london
Paul Weller on sale Friday, 2 nights at the Roundhouse
Springsteen’s Hyde Park date is 14th July
I wouldn’t mind seeing Florence-never been to Alexandra Palace-any good? Can’t be worse than the o2 for sound surely?
There’s no atmosphere at Ally Pally; the acoustics aren’t good and because there’s no rake on the floor you can’t see unless you’re tall. So no, it’s not favourite.
why does everyone criticise the O2 arenas acoustics, sure if youre sat miles away then any venue will suffer but Ive seen some of the best bands in the world there and its been spot on, wembley arena on the other hand……….
Guess it depends on the bands sound people. Arcade Fire at o2-great. Smashing Pumpkins dreadful. Best gig ever in London-Beastie Boys at Wembley Arena. Prefer not to stand these days. Reckon Florence will do seated gigs? Bet Hackney was good.
Kevin Bishop’s new comedy tour for 2012 goes on sale this Friday.
They’re certainly clearing the decks this week can only mean something BIG next week ?!
Gaga tour? Announcement well over due and she has no more UK tv left to do.
X Factor final duets is all I can think of.
Suprised she didn’t go on this week after being over here all last week. Presume it is next week though.
Kevin Bridges not bishop. Doh !
What makes you think that Gaga would announce a WORLD tour while in the UK? I would understand if she was doing a UK only tour but come on, she isn’t gonna announce a world tour while in the UK just to please you guys.
On that basis, are you suggesting that she could not possibly announce her world tour whilst in any of the countries which constitute that world tour?!
Her last WORLD tour was announced while she promoted in the UK.
No Saturday dates for Florence – yet.
Can anyone get onto the website ??
Yes finally booked but it took a while
Finally got on 9.05am and bagged my Manchester tix. Stageside Block 115 aswell, nice.
Turnip how do you know you tickets are block 115?
Tickets are reserved seated in Block 102 (Rows Q to X), Block 115 (Rows L to X), Block 114 (Rows F to X).
Confirmation email doesnt tell you block or row.
Sandbay don’t release seat details for pre sale events and this morning was no excepton. No details across any of the dates. They normally post very late up to the date of the gig also, normally 7-10 days.
Sandbag are the worst – anyone get for Flo and the Machine at Hackney Empire? Sent out for THE DAY of the show. Very poor service. Stayed well clear today.
They do usually release seat details after a few days. They didn’t for Adele I know, but for everyone I’ve booked with through them they have sent on the seat details a few days later.
Terrible for postage, glad there is a standard post option. Somebody sending out as late as they do and then using DX = disaster
At least you can track the DX delivery! Imagine having to wait for standard post!!!! It would arrive in time for the rescheduled shows!!!
and at least they are not purposefully crap like SEE…I think they are ambitiously trying to take on the work and have trouble managing the volumes sometimes.
I called them once after 10pm on a Friday night and the person that picked up the phone was there stuffing envelopes, but they still took the time to sort through the pile and confirm mine was going to be sent the next day.
Managed to bag a couple for Nottingham, should be good seats whichever block I end up getting. But it being Sandbag does scare me a bit. Last ones I got from them were for Laura Marling at York Minster….they changed those to box office collection at the last minute. Wasn’t a problem for me, but I’m sure it was for others. Ps. They did allow the lead name on those Laura Marling bookings to be changed.
All agencies do this to some extent – See have failed to deliver to me on a couple of occasions, Ticketline let me down in this way a few weeks back and I think even Ticketmaster may have failed me in the past. On the other hand I’ve used Sandbag a few times myself in the past and never had a problem with them. Doesn’t mean they wont screw up this time, just that it’s by not necessarily more likely than with one of the bigger companies.
Not much help if you have more then 1 buyer trying to collect the 1 ticket transaction as they won’t split name change in the tickets.
Sad to hear George Michael having to cancel more gigs due to his ongoing illness. Having seen him in London twice already for this tour he was amazing and looking for to seeing him in Glasgow from our front row seats. Get well soon Georgie.
George Michael has pneumonia and the rest of the tour looks to be in doubt.
The only time I never received tickets was for Rush at The O2 from ticketline, Ive had a few close scrapes with seetickets, in fact im still waiting for tickets for a show on sunday!!!
Sandbag and guys like that have always been ok but the Florence show had a very small timeframe in which to get tickets out which wont have helped
Florence and the Machine Birmingham Pre Sale now over at Ticketfactory.
You can get Pesale tickets via LG Arena Birmingham Facebook page.
My Florence tickets have just been delivered – is this a record????!!!!!!!!!
independent your tickets from sandbag?
No Robin, they’ll arrive 3 days before and not 3 days after!
Nottingham standing from TM came today.
No Ticketmaster. I would expect to see Sandbag Tickets until the week before
In fairness to “most other ticket agents than TM”, TM do seem to be given the right to print their own tickets, which makes a huge difference to delivery times, as opposed to the smaller agents that have to wait until they get promoter stock.
It certainly does make a difference when deciding where you buy tickets from.
In my opinion, the quickest deliverer is Ticketweb (and the slowest of course, SEENOTIX)
All upcoming George Michael dates for 2011 have been postponed due to illness
Saw him twice at RAH and scheduled to see him at Earls Court, the man is a legend. get well soon.
In fairness to See they have been sending tickets out promptly. They were the first to send the George Michael for Earls Court. I am still waiting from Ticketmaster.
true they were but look what good that did lol. they have been getting better of late, having said that I received tickets for a gig sunday today!!!
I can’t agree with you I am afraid. I received tickets today from Seetickets for an even THIS sunday. I wouldn’t mind but the tickets for this Sunday were actually printed by them and have seetickets all over – so the excuse ‘waiting for the stock to come in’ is clearly a load of rubbish.
Intersting converstion with customer service agent at star green, in antcipation for tickets for the cure I rang up with 6 days to go and was told that the promoter had strictly asked for tickets to be posted as late as possible to curb the resale of them.
On another note See have been much better of late with tickets arriving well in time for gigs.
Probably the kiss of death and will be waiting for all future tickets from them. LOL
Why do they think that causing sellers hassle and buyers stress is somehow going to ‘curb the resale’ of tickets? If they truly want to stop tickets being sold on then there are a number of ways to achieve this but once they’ve chosen the ‘SOLD OUT in x seconds PR’ route their job is to get them to the people who pay their wages and try to ensure the gig experience is an altogether pleasant one from beginning to end.
It’s simple – they are c***s
” Customer service agent at Stargreen”
LOL old Rednose has come a long way from his shed on Oxford St it seems.
Can you tone down your language please. Not everybody wants to read that sort of disgusting language on a public forum. Thank you.
i searched long and hard for a better word..but in the end, it seemed the most appropriate.
Then that speaks volumes about you that you can’t get a point across without resorting to that. But in the meantime, it is quite alienating to anyone who doesn’t want to go to that level. So would you mind finding an alternative please.
Is it just front bottom related profanity you object to? In which case perhaps a~@&holes might be more acceptable. Like death I’m less than satisfied by this expletive in this context but would accept it for the sake of not offending the fairer sex.
Please help
any one been having trouble getting payment of Viagogo sold some tickets for the RCHP MANCHESTER meet the buyer and made sure he got into the arena without any problems this was 2 weeks ago and i was told payment would be made within 8 working days and it wasnt and now i have been holding for 30mins on a mobile without getting to speak to anyone the number i called was 08458623670 i have also e-mailed them with out reply does any one have a direct number which gets an answer
Average wait time is about 50min…
You still have 20min to go!
should probably be about £18 in call cost!
Try this one, should get you through sooner
028 90322023
Nobody has been paid yet from Viagogo for the RHCP gigs. I got an email Friday saying they were changing orders to Pending Payment this week, so should have payment in 2 weeks from this.
thanks for the replies got thru on 0)20 3137 6080 (from abroad after 12 mins and was told that they would have to speak to the buyer etc etc and payment will be made with 10 working days
Sorry lobstermike but I got paid for the RHCP last week from VGG.
And this was so important that you couldn’t wait until returning to the UK to call because you hadn’t been paid?
Heaven help you have a “proper” problem rather than something that at best is only mildly important.
times ARE hard!
IF the buyer said to VGG i did not get my tickets as discribbed what would happen?
Did anyone get a signature from the buyer?
Don’t understand what the panic is in getting paid, they obviously need to speak to the buyers, not sure what would happen if they kicked up a fuss and complained. VGG didn’t ask for signatures, just to walk customers into venue to ensure entry.
If this meet and take buyers in requiremnt happens again it would be wise to get a siganture, just in case the buyer complains.
hey essbee i am in the uk
it makes sense to call the 0203 number then 0845 saves money
I hear Seatwave are thinking about opening a retail unit at the o2.
Lets hope customers arn`t followed to their seats.
Seatwave are pants they did there famous thing not paying back my postal fees when they were paying for tickets i had sold on there site
If you decide not to send tickets by UPS on Seatwave(because you don’t want to wait in all day) then they recommend you use first class recorded and pay you £2.00. And then if the tickets go missing they are only covered for up to £41! I assume most tickets on Seatwave are sold for higher than £41 so surely they should recommend using special delivery? Stupid or what.
Pretty sure royal mail changed the rule recently and tickets aren’t covered at all unless RMSD?
http://www.royalmail.com/damaged-mail
Just got my money from viagogo for RHCP SALES
Never post any Seatwave tickets sales by Royal Mail, you are not insured. Period. If UPS can’t collect for whatever reason, I’d recommend them dropping at a UPS depot and watch them scan the barcode in front of you. Learnt this the hard way.
If an event is cancelled, Seatwave take the postage off your payment.
With UPS they can’t. Never use Royal Mail with Seatwave if you can help it!
You may make a bit on postage but you will lose it all if the event is cancelled.
I’ve had compensation this month from the Royal Mail for tickets that weren’t delivered on time. So not sure where you’re getting that from. i’ve had 3 lots of compensation off them in 12 months.
Would agree that sending them recorded is a massive no-no and i’m peed off that SW have done this.
Even if an item is lost, dont tell them it was tickets (if you think tickets arent covered).
At the heart of all disappointment is unfulfilled expectation.
This reminds me of one of aecop’s fables – the farmer and the snake. The farmer finds a snake freezing in the snow. Taking pity on it, he picks it up and places it within his coat. The viper, revived by the warmth, bites his rescuer, who dies realising that it is his own fault.
Even for people selling tickets to get their money back for shows that they genuinely can’t make – If you deal with any of the “secondary agents”, you should expect the worst from them if things go wrong.
If you just want your money back, then go on gumtree or ebay where you have much more control.
From front bottom filth to fables in but a few hours – you’re just too darned good for this site!
CDB April 2013 for f**k sake what next Ronan Park 2099 NYE at The O2 on sale next week !
