The usual venue curfew rules are a fine for each minute over-run. Surprised that their manager isn't able to knock some (business) sense into Axl. For example, Madonna was reputed to have been fined £135,000 for a 40 minute over-run at Wembley Stadium. Just needs a brave venue to literally pull the plug at the curfew time (45 minutes before they would have got on stage :-) ) With riot police on hand and a prior contract with the band that allowed them to refund the fans plus a 50% bonus for their inconvenience if they weren't finished by that curfew time. Reading and Leeds both have previously pulled the plug on GnR when they over-ran.
Doesn't look like they'll be playing arenas a lot longer then! Article above mentions 6,000 attendance (not great in an arena with up to 19k capacity for a standing show) plus loads of 2 for 1 offers for the o2 shows... add on a load of hacked off fans who have to decide whether to miss the show and get home or end up stranded at 2am, doesn't instill much confidence in future ticket buyers does it! What happens with the venue curfew here anyhow? Normally the show HAS to have finished by a set time, how do they get round it for GnR when everyone knows they might do exactly as they did at the MEN...
Isnt this sort of old news now? they do it everying f**king time they tour here. Best way to stop it happening is to not bother buying the tickets. I mean its a tribute act at best!!!
No luck for me yesterday, hopefully better luck in the live nation presale today
Didnt think all 4 stereophonics gigs would be in the o2 presale, gonna be hard to get tickets to such small venues in such a popular presale, wonder if they will have a fan presale on there facebook page again?
